How scrappy is scrappy? To make a point about the fun of using up (only) scraps and going at it in very random hooking fashion I whipped up these two little rugs a few days before camp. They were rewarding to hook with just scraps.
The first rug is a small version of my pattern "Vintage Birds Hit and Miss Runner" which I made hooked in light tones to see how a light hit and miss would look. I was trying to avoid anything over a medium value in this rug. Unfortunately the picture does not do the little rug justice, but you get the idea.

The rug below is an itty-bitty Magdalena mat. It's only 8" x 11" and it was fun to make! It is very, very scrappy. Once again, only scraps were allowed into this small mat.
